- You own what you put in threadline. It is stored and shown only to the people you share it with.
- Pro is prepaid. Nothing renews by itself, and nothing is deleted when it ends.
- Be decent: nothing illegal, harmful, abusive or spammy.
- threadline is built by one person and will keep changing. It is provided as it is.
- Questions go straight to Jesse, from the contact page.
01Agreeing to these terms
These terms are the agreement between you and threadline — the product, and Jesse David Francisco, who builds and runs it — for using threadline (the service). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use threadline.
02What threadline is
threadline is a planning tool for teams, built around a dependency graph: every task on one canvas, the arrows that say what waits on what, and a document behind each task. It includes comments and approvals, project channels and direct messages, file attachments, deadlines and a calendar, and it runs in your web browser.
03Your account
Keep your sign-in details safe: you are responsible for what happens under your account. If you think someone else has used it, tell us straight away from the contact page.
You must be at least 13 years old to use threadline. By agreeing to these terms, you confirm that you are.
04Your content
You own everything you put into threadline — projects, tasks, documents, comments, messages and files. You let threadline store it, process it and show it to the people you share it with, only so that the service can run.
A project is private to its members. Its Head can turn on a link that lets anyone who has it read the graph, and turn it off again at any time.
05Plans and payments
threadline has a free plan and a paid one, Pro. What each includes and costs is on the pricing page, and a project runs on the plan of its Head.
- Pro is prepaid for one, six or twelve months, and never renews by itself. There is no subscription to cancel.
- When a paid period ends, you keep everything. After 3 days of grace, a project that is over the free plan's limits keeps its newest tasks read-only until it is back under them or Pro is bought again. Nothing is deleted.
- Payments are processed by PayMongo (and card payments by Polar, where offered). threadline never sees your card or bank details.
If you paid for something you didn't get, write from the contact page and it will be looked at with you.
06Acceptable use
Don't use threadline to:
- break any law, or help someone else break one;
- infringe anyone's intellectual property;
- upload malware or anything meant to cause harm;
- get into accounts, projects or systems that aren't yours;
- harass, abuse or threaten anyone;
- send spam or messages people didn't ask for.
07The service itself
threadline's software, design and name belong to its developer. These terms let you use the service; they don't give you any other rights to it.
08Changes, availability and ending
threadline is being built and will keep changing — features can be added, changed or removed. It is provided as it is, without a promise that it will always be available or free of mistakes.
You can stop using threadline and delete your account at any time from Settings. An account that breaks these terms can be suspended or closed; a suspended account is told why when it next signs in.
09Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, threadline and its developer are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages — including lost profits, data or goodwill — that come from using the service, or from not being able to use it.
10Changes to these terms
If these terms change in a way that matters, you'll see a notice in threadline before the change takes effect. The date at the top of this page says when they last changed.
